Fairbairn Sykes British Commando Dagger
The Fairbairn Sykes British Commando Dagger is a double-edged knife with a cast metal grip developed by William Ewart Fairbairn and Eric Anthony Sykes. It was made famous during the World War II when issued to British Commandos, including the SAS. This knife was designed exclusively for surprise attack and fighting. The double-edged blade is integral to its design. The slender blade can easily penetrate a ribcage while the vase handle provides a precise grip. The Fairbairn-Sykes knife remains in production today although it is now mainly of interest to collectors because of its sleek lines and its commando associations.
